CITIZEN CHARTER
Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya Hospital, is the only Delhi Government hospital situated in the South Delhi, designated as the SOUTH DISTRICT HOSPITAL. The hospital was initially run by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and called Malviya Nagar Colony Hospital. However, it was taken over by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi in October, 1996 and given its new nomenclature Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya Hospital. The old structure was demolished and a new hundred bedded Hospital building constructed and inaugurated on 10/02/2007.
The hospital is providing preventive and curative service to a vast population of South Delhi (about 3.2 million) free of cost. The residents of many other parts of Delhi and adjoining areas of Delhi are also receiving the medical services from the hospital.

The hospital is situated in a modern, three storeyed earth quake resistant building complex equipped with Rain Water harvesting System, ETP Plant, Solar Water Heater System, Central R.O System installed for Potable water supply to staff & patients.
Hospital provides adequate seating facility for patients and attendants.

- Indoor patients are provided food free of cost through outsourced kitchen and dietary services.
- Attendant pass is being issued at the time of admission and only one attendant is allowed to stay along with one patients.
- Visitors timings for indoor patients : 7.00 am to 8.00 am(morning) 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm(evening)
EMERGENCY SERVICES
Emergency Services are available round the clock at Ground floor, Room No.61 under the supervision of Chief Casualty Medical Officer (A&E). Specialists are available on call. All kind of Emergency patients are attended to in the emergency. For facilities not available in the hospital patients are referred to higher centers after stabilization. CATs Ambulance services are available on call.
LABOUR ROOM AND NURSERY SERVICES
Labour Room services and nursery services are available in the hospital 24X7.
OPERATION FACILITIES
- There are 3 minor operation theatres whereby day care surgeries are performed in various disciplines like, Eye, ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
- Four Major Operation theatres – Three elective OTs where major elective surgeries of different departments are done on allocated day & One is Emergency OT functional round the clock.
PHARMACY
All the medicines as per the hospital formulary from the essential drugs list of govt. of NCT of Delhi are available in the Hospital Pharmacy free of cost.

GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL
The aggrieved persons can drop their complains/suggestions in the complaint/suggestion box fixed near the registration counter on the ground floor and the other place in the administrative block on 3rd Floor. However, a person can also submit his/her grievance in office of the Medical Superintendent. The grievances are looked into by the Grievance Redressal Officer / Committee.
